MOHAMED AREJDAL

Mohamed Arejdal was born in 1984, Guelmim, south of Morocco. Passionate about drawing and sculpture, he held an amateur exhibition at the age of 17. An early school leaver, the attempted unsuccessfully to make a clandestine crossing to the Canary Islands.

After he was turned back to Morocco, he resumed his studies and the joined the National Institut of Fine Arts in Tetouan, where he graduated in 2009.

Mohamed Arejdal had been able to lay the foundations for a multidisciplinary practice through which he explores the linkages between social groups as part of his travels and human interactions. His artistic performances hold a very important place in his work and help him engage the public on his status as an artist or on the meaning of powefrul symbols.
